Red Ear
Autumn winter 2005 sees the influence of 1950 through to early 1960's America in Paul Smith Red Ear. The collection is inspired by icons, Steve McQueen and Bob Dylan who represent important elements of American style and culture in these decades.
Red Ear
The Red Ear collection is translated with a Japanese approach to detail, with embroidery, contrast stitching and using the best, high premium Japanese denims. Washes give an authentic, 'owned' feel with Japanese moleskin work wear jackets and heavily washed authentic bomber jackets all incorporating hand stitching.
A simple mix of paisley and hand embroidery feature on T-shirts and shirts. T-shirts feature prints influenced by West coast American motorcycle clubs.
Fashion
A slim, tailored silhouette dominates for a look which promotes an urban, gritty chic. Jeans are skinny, low rise and feature traditional men's trouser details. Photo prints on T-shirts are based on Bob Dylan album covers and his own artwork. Colours are faded to match these vintage Dylan record sleeves.
