Modern Amusement

Modern Amusement is the Californian dream inspired by international art, music, technology and design. An eclectic collection that references a privileged lifestyle, growing up on the sun-drenched shores from Laguna to Malibu. Distinguished by their attention to ironic detail, sophisticated ease, whimsical nature, graphic energy and sense of humour.  Every element holds an element of surprise and discovery, every stitch has a purpose, and in every detail there is a story to be told.

The team behind Modern Amusement is a very intimate, creative staff of five who do all the clothing, graphic and accessory design.

They are influenced by global architecture, industrial design, contemporary art and music. They also happen to be surfers, skaters, musicians and artists. They like to reference what is happening internationally in fashion, but always present it in a whimsical and street-wise sense.

If you were to break down their influences and translate that into a design aesthetic, you would have to say they are equal parts streetwear, sophisticated tailoring and a strong sense of humour.

Modern Amusement is the luxury fashion brand for the surfer and the casual weekend brand for the streetwise rich guy who has everything. He appreciates the finer things, but doesn't take life too seriously.
